Think of a Newspaper!

A web site is a little bit like your local newspaper. It is made up of different pages of information (this is a page you are looking at right now), and each page has text, photos, and links to other pages. And that is pretty much it! The great thing about web sites is you can't break them - feel free to browse around click on whatever you want.

What if I get lost?

No problem. If you are ever not sure where you are, you can always click on the "Home" link located in the top left hand corner. The home page on a web site is like the front page of a newspaper - it's a great place to start. And you can always come back to this page for a quick refresher course.

Where do I go from here?

Anywhere! There is no set order to which pages on our web site you should like. Just like a sports fan that dives right to the back page of a newspaper, you can jump around from page to page using the different links on each page.

How do I know what is a link?

Some things on a web page, be they text, pictures, or anything else, can be clicked on with the mouse to take you to a different page. Usually when your cursor (the little arrow on the screen that moves when you move the mouse) is over a link, it will change to something different, or the text or picture that you are over will change slightly to let you know you can click there. The main thing is, it never hurts to click on something if you are not sure. All of the red items at the top of the page are links to other pages on the site.

The main thing is HAVE FUN! The Senior Times web site is here for your enjoyment, and with a little practice you will be able to find everything you are looking for on this site.
